David Warren examines the latest, media-made scandal, in which the Pope has been hung out to dry by the BBC, among others, while feeding worldwide Islamic thugs' voracious need for outrage. We are left to guess how many will die following this "bit of mischief" by the press.

Matt Abbott writes, "
A third priest may now have become a victim of the violence and lawlessness in Baghdad. Father Basil Salem Yaldo was last seen leaving a church building in the Dora area of Baghdad. He is the personal secretary to the Catholic Patriarch for Iraq. At the time of his disappearance, a car bomb had exploded in the vicinity and a round-up of suspects took place by Iraqi and Coalition Security Forces. It is not known if Father Basil was taken into custody, is being held for ransom, or worse." Thanks to Michelle Malkin for the heads up, here, and in the following.

And the friendly faith seems to have made another strong case for how wrong the Pope was to have quoted another who suggested they were violent... "If the Pope does not appear on TV and apologize, we will blow up all of Gaza's churches." They are peaceful and ready to kill anyone who says (or quotes another who says) otherwise. Read more here.

Says Warren,
"...t
he basic tactic of bullying is to demand apologies for exaggerated or imaginary offences. It is to make the decent kneel before the indecent. Already the parliament of Pakistan has voted unanimously to condemn the Pope, without showing the patience or courtesy to find out what he actually said."

Read the whole thing, here. Not to be outdone by the BBC in the field of malicious ignorance, the New York Times has demanded the Pope offer a "deep and persuasive" apology, here.
