Hero-intellectual-web cartoonists at thefrown.com provide a colorful sequence of insights into America's problems concluding that all America's pain has been caused by (surprise!) Republicans. Their thoughtful, yet somehow easily shallow enough to be nauseating, venture into political analysis suggests Republicans are to blame for virtually everything. Become a Republican... Mix ignorance and arrogance. Get excited about Gun rights. Help Destroy the World. Defend freedom by losing your own.
A cute little red republican figure in the cartoon (the whole production is precious) wears a cross and a cowboy hat and carries a gun. Interesting choice of symbols to attack. It seems our fun-loving artists suggest by their associating the three icons with the enemy the Republican party, that we don't need no stinking religion, self-reliance or weapons.
Maybe not, but as entertaining as the cutesy sequence of cheap shots and fuzzy thinking may be, I am not yet persuaded that we can solve America's problems by becoming Godless, abandoning the cowboy spirit, and banning guns.
