"An upcoming TV mini-series about the origins of the Sept. 11 plot is provoking angry complaints from Democrats about the portrayal of the Clinton administration's response to terrorism."
Egad! What's this great nation coming to when the spotless (give or take a spot) Clinton administration is
besmirched by poltroons, mountebanks and scurvy liars in the media who have dared suggest that Arkansas Bill and his two-term reconstruction of Camelot on the Potomac may actually bear a bit of responsibility for the growth of world terrorism or, if not it's growth, its leaders' utter lack of respect (read, fear) of the US.
Clinton's administration may ultimately merit condemnation for it's pathetic record with regard to terrorism, but our former president did, after all, once allocate all of six cruise missiles, between cigars, to the get Bin Laden campaign in Afghanistan--have you any idea what those things cost?
On the other hand, the final verdict re Sweet Billy may depend on what our definition of "is" is.
The Bush administration by no means skates free in the ABC mini-series, nor should it. But are we really so dumb or gullible to believe that terrorism is all George's (and Haliburton's) fault?
