What's wrong in this picture?

A "Driver Rampage" in San Francisco yesterday (8/29/2006) has apparently left city authorities baffled. What could have motivated such an
outrageous act? Hugh Hewitt has provided a few clues,
here.

When a man named Ohmeed Aziz Popal runs over 14 people over an hour or two, the best thing to do is think terrorism. "
Really? Ohmeed's rampage occurred in a heavily Jewish neighborhood, apparently, and "one of the victims was run over in front of the Jewish Community Center in the area."
Terrorism? Nah. Drugs, maybe? Unintended acceleration perhaps? No one in authority in San Francisco seems so far to have gathered a clue. Doubtless it is the racist, xenophobic bigot in you and me that leads us to suspect that Ohmeed Aziz Popal may be a Muslim and may have taken a little spin through Jew territory to please Allah.
